Here is the original. Not sure what I was thinking when I used this picture. I really don't like it that much the way it is.
I did a lot to this photo! Straightened, cropped, sharpened, changed the clarity and highlights. I also adjusted the saturation. I like this version a 100 times more. I just wish I knew how to remove the grass in the lower portion of the photo.

I know your said you liked the second picture much better, but I happen to like the original. I like how the fence in the background and the bricks across the bottom seem to frame the picture naturally. I actually thought it was 2 different pictures. This is a great example of how cropping can significantly change a photo.
